2024 Co-Ed Church Softball League

Join us for another fun and exciting year of Church League Softball!

Registration: March 4 - April 22, 2024
Age: 16 & up
Start Date: May 13th (NO game May 27th & July 1st)
Day/Time: Mondays games begin at 6:00 pm
Team Fee: $300

 

Captain Meeting: April 29th at 6:00 pm  | YMCA Board Room
Each team is required to provide a captain or coach for this meeting. We will go over league rules and discuss other league topics.


SPRING CO-ED PICKLEBALL LEAGUE

Register to play in our recreational 8-week pickleball league. This is a self-officiated league, with winners earning bragging rights! Players will get a number each week and play round-robin style (signed up as an individual play as doubles). Play up to 7 games in the time frame. Players will tally individual win/loss in provided scoresheet. YMCA team member will update standings each week. This is NOT an instructional class. Player substitutions are allowed and will be coordinated by YMCA staff. *If you cannot make over 50% of the nights please consider substituting.

BEGINNER LEVEL
Mondays    6:00-8:00 pm
Dates: March 18th – May 13th (NO LEAGUE APRIL 1ST) 

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Tuesdays    6:00-8:00 pm
Dates: March 19th – May 14th (NO LEAGUE APRIL 2ND)

ADVANCED LEVEL
Wednesdays    6:00-8:00 pm
Dates: March 20th – May 15th (NO LEAGUE APRIL 3RD)
 

Please give at least a 24-hour notice if you are unable to make league. Fill out substitution form if you need a sub. Form will be provided prior to league & will be available inside the gym.


Intro to Pickleball 

Thinking about playing pickleball, but don’t know how?? NOW IS THE TIME! This 4-week class will introduce the basics of pickleball; including but not limited to the fundamentals of serving, return of a serve, dinking, scoring, etc. The importance of having fun will be enforced. Paddles will be provided, but are welcome to bring your own. Limited spots available! Ages: 18+

Pickleball 101

Must have completed “Intro to Pickleball” or have knowledge of scoring and rules. This 4-week class will help you advance your pickleball knowledge. Skills such as: serving, return of a serve, dinking, technique, etc. will be developed. The importance of having fun will be enforced. Limited spots available! Ages: 18+

SKILLS & DRILLS

Recommended that you have at least one year playing experience (intermediate level player). This 4-week class will critique your skills through drills and game play. The importance of having fun will be enforced. Limited spots available! Ages: 18+

Adult Water Walking 

This is a basic, low-impact workout using the natural resistance of the water in the exercise pool in the Family Pool. 


Lap Swim

Lap swimming is available at various times throughout the day. Check the pool schedules for availability.  


Open Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun game for all ages that combines elements of tennis, table tennis and badminton. The game is easy to learn and is played indoors with a wooden paddle and wiffleball. Please bring your own equipment.


Racquetball & Basketball

Court reservations can be made up to 3 days in advance at the Welcome Center desk or by calling the Y during business hours. Reservations will not be accepted in any other way.  Please inquire about guidelines.
