The Fond du Lac Family YMCA will host the Living Strong Survivor Summit on September 21, 2023 at the Fond du Lac Family YMCA, 90 W. Second Street, Fond du Lac, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear the following presentations:
- Finding Support Through LIVESTRONG at the YMCA; Presented by Melanie Fox, Cancer Survivor & Past Participant of the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program; 4:40-4:55 PM
- Embracing Whole Person Care Across All Stages of Life; Presented by Heather Schmidt, DO, SSM Health Integrated Health; 5:00-5:45 PM
- Fighting Cancer Before It Starts; Presented by Filip Troicki, MD, MBA, SSM Health Cancer Care; 6:00-6:45 PM
This open house style event will offer participants the opportunity to visit a variety of informational booths and speak with representatives on topics such as in home health services that allow you to heal at home, healthy meal solutions, mammography and the importance of women’s imaging, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, cancer care, testing and treatment. SSM Health will be offering free colon cancer (FIT) testing and lung screening.
This free event is presented by SSM Health and is open to the community. Light refreshments will be available, courtesy of Annie’s Fountain City Catering. Raffle basket ticket sales will benefit the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program; tickets will be available at the event.
